HOMES
My journey into
building began years ago in New Jersey constructing
beautiful homes by the ocean and bay. My ambition,
established early, was to have my
own
business, so I paid strict
attention to construction details of all manner. With the
mentoring of
a couple of big hearted, steel fisted contractors, and lots of
study in design and financing,
I managed to gain the confidence to finally do it
and took the leap after 15 years in the field.
Shown here are just a handful of the 50 or so homes I
designed/built over the next few years
and whose photographs I managed to somehow still
find.

Here are a couple of homes I was involved with early in my
careeer.
The home on the left was a joint venture with Ed King, purported author of
Sweet Home Alabama
when he was one of the guitar players with the band Lynyrd
Skynyrd.
Here is the first home I designed and built as a General
Contractor back in 1986.

MY FIRST SERIOUS
HOME PROJECT
When I was 24,
fortune smiled on me and I found myself involved in a special
project -
A neighbor sold me a property she'd inherited for just the taxes
owed - $1200. One acre and a very neglected house.
It was
just the challenge and inspiration I needed, wanted, and
got....
After removing the cracked plaster, I was intrigued by the
exposed post and beam of the original (c.1820) frame.
I decided to maintain the same character when building the
addition seen in the photos below.
